The updated functionality allows you to refine your search straight away with time period and keywords at the same time.

  1. Start by adding your search term.
  2. Click to open filters.
  3. Under filters, you can choose a specific time period that you would like to search for articles within.
  4. You can also choose several keywords to make sure the article results you are served are as relevant as possible.

In the example screenshot above, we have searched for articles relating to economics, published within the last 7 days, authored by Martin Wolf - all on one page.

If you would like to further refine your search, you can use ft.com/advanced-search. With advanced search, you can enter a search term and then see suggested filters next to the initial results. These suggested filters include topics, locations and organisations and provides relevant suggested results.

This simplified process has been built on a platform that will allow ft.com/search to be further refined and for future development of FT.com as a whole.

Our Customer Success team is on hand to ensure you meet your goals or expected outcomes through using the FT.
